I bought a pair of these after demoing them at Kirkwood last spring.
I had not skied in 7 years because of my daughter's health issues taking priority.
I thought the first day back would be a major resetting of my capabilities being that I had taken so much time off and was well into my lid 40s now.
After 2 runs, I skied 'The Wall' all day.
Amazingly, my legs were not even sore by day's end, and I skied over 20 runs.
I used to get major cramps from the old pre-parabolic skis, but these skis make anyone look like a pro.
Not for an intermediate skier in my opinion, but if you like to ski with energy, prefer a GS style with the odd slalom, and some bumps, I doubt there is a betetr ski out there.
I demo'd 4 other skies - some more expensive (some Fischers, etc.).
They all went back after 1 run, because I tried the Mantra first, and nothing else was close.
